As i have previously stated, dont expect this to be completed anytime soon. Creating a working server is a long process, so just because i dont report any progress for a few days doesn't mean the process has halted

Well i can't promise that either but we'll see.
I guess its time for a little update again on progress since last time:
Bunch of internal work has been done.
Item loading is now fully done: Equipment/Inventory/Vault items are loaded along with all stats / upgrade stuff / sockets
Item grading is almost complete.
Custom GM Handler is working, we'll not support the standard ryl gm commands but instead have our own implementation that is alot more advanced.
Cross zone chat is now supported.
Some basic monster AI has been implemented (we're currently having an ichman walk around the big tree in circles on zone12
Skills loading is fully done.
Action bar loading is fully done.
Shop functionality implemented.
Basic teleport scroll support.

wee plz more insight, are you planning to make movement more complex then in standard ryl? mobs in ryl are kinda dumb and cheap so far, i hope you can do something more then agro-range, maybe a built-in-set of mob-strategies or something (remember there are only 2 strats in basic RYL -> attack or run away (acolyte). would dig to see more there, mobs supporting each other or having various strategies to attack.. this could be an entrance point to change lvling alltogether, because for now you get the load of tanks/dds standing there and putting tape on their mouse to autohit and the pulller and healer are busy like hell. imagine if you had to do a bit more then pull the mobs to the tank (although i really like mass-killing-mobs-in-a-group-to-lvl-up). =)
any plans?

no (more) ai needed for mobs. we want to kill them, slaughter them, hunt them, beat the sh*t out of them etc. etc...we dont want to play chess with them

normal mobs, i agree the AI would kinda be better if kept simple, otherwise its just a pain in the ass, but boss mobs @@ would be a little interesting if they had a little more advanced AI, instead of just tanking and spanking.

Well we're planning on doing some kind of AI above the standard RYL mobs, eg. they wont just walk back and forth but be a little more "intelligent" That being said standard mobs shouldn't be too smart as some has pointed out or it would just be a pain in the butt to level we'll leave the special stuff for bosses mostly.
As for bosses we have a whole bunch of stuff planned for those, which will use highly unique AI that requires ppl to actually do something other than tank & spam. We're looking into making unique skills and spells for bosses only as well.
